Q1. Can I study TESOL if I have no teaching experience?
Yes. You don't need to be an experienced teacher to begin exploring TESOL training. TEFL International Vietnam offers different learning pathways for people with different backgrounds and goals. You can explore programmes that help you develop teaching knowledge, lesson-planning skills, and a better understanding of classroom activities. Choose a programme that fits your experience, goals, and preferred learning format. Specific entry requirements may vary.
Q2. Will I get to teach real students during my TESOL training?
Yes, in our four-week in-class TESOL practicum in Ho Chi Minh City, trainees teach Vietnamese students at local schools. The programme includes six hours of observed teaching, giving trainees opportunities to apply lesson plans, experience real classroom dynamics, and receive feedback from trainers. Teaching-practice arrangements vary between TESOL programmes. Not every programme includes the same in-school practicum.
Q3. What career support will I receive after my TESOL course?

Prepare for Recruitment
➾ Recruitment process guidance We help trainees understand common recruitment steps and what schools may expect during the application process. ➾ Demo lesson preparation We offer guidance on preparing for teaching demonstrations, including lesson planning, delivery, and responding to feedback. ➾ Documentation guidance We help trainees understand the documents commonly required for teaching applications in Vietnam and provide guidance on preparing their paperwork. Work permit procedures are handled by the hiring school.
